PawPointer was founded in 2015 by a team of dog lovers who believe that connecting with reputable breeders and local rescue groups to find the right dog should be easier. We have experienced first-hand how difficult it can be to verify the legitimacy of a source without knowing what to ask and visiting in-person.
These difficulities led to the creation of PawPointer whose mission is to provide an easy-to-use alternative to buying unhealthy dogs from pet stores, puppy mills and un-verified online listings. PawPointer’s rigorous screening process includes phone interviews, in-home site visits, DNA and health screen verifications, vet reference checks and previous buyer reference checks. We do all this to provide our users with a way to easily connect with established and respected breeders and local rescue organizations to find their new best friend.
Though we are still growing, we pride ourselves on the high caliber breeders and rescues who have already decided to join the PawPointer network and support our mission. Within our network today are presidents and officers of both all-breed and specialty kennel clubs, AKC conformation judges, breeders who provide working-line dogs to law enforcement and many who have earned the AKC’s “Breeder of Merit” distinction. We’re proud to say that our breeders have earned over 500 titles & awards combined in conformation, agility, rally, obedience, nose-work, barn hunt, hunt test, field trials, dock-diving and therapy and we thank the Lehigh Valley Kennel Club, Long Island Golden Retriever Club, Poodle Club of the Lehigh Valley and the Berks County Kennel Club for their continued support and partnership.
